Card named on camera at the top of the recording: "a little simple cleaning of Sabrina's Gengar from Yamabuki City Gym" [00:00]. NOTE: he also says he "took a look at this card last time in depth, found some stuff on it" [00:00], and later refers to "my original research". That earlier examination is not on this chain and no recording of it was found, so this session is the first LOGGED look, not necessarily the first look. Before any work he reports the card is not flat: "I can feel the card's a little off-balance ... the light's not even across it. At a lot of - maybe two or three individual places" [00:00]. Front cleaned first with solution on a pad, worked bottom-upward in consistent strokes [01:37]; he describes the drag easing off as the first layer lifts, and more drag at the edges than in the middle. A dark spot on the Gengar's head was checked under new raking light and called part of the print rather than grime: "That is definitely not grime" [03:52]. A pipette swab was used on that area only. Back cleaned second [05:43], holding one half and working the other. The top of the back was singled out as "probably the most handled part" [06:57], and he notes he is "moving some fibers around" there. Front given a last pass to lift anything picked up off the glass [08:49]. HUMIDIFICATION set up [09:48]: six sprays to each face, card laid on parchment between two acrylic sheets, clamped [11:19], timer set [12:25]. Stated intent was about two hours, then the tool work, then the press. No zone was graded and no severity was assigned in this recording.

Out of humidification after about two hours; the parchment had taken up more moisture than wanted and was replaced [work 00:00]. Coming out the card is soft: "Ooh, it feels flimsy. Oh, I don't like that. You know, whoa, look at that bend" [work 01:37]. EDGE AND CORNER WORK with a bone tool, starting at a top corner [work 02:25], switching to the card tool for an edge carrying whitening [work 03:43]. He works to keep fibres down and repeatedly states he is keeping pressure off the rest of the card so as not to crimp it or add a crease [work 04:44, 07:08, 09:07]. Scope called at [work 04:55]: "I didn't have any problems with these edges, just these corners." OBSERVATIONS, none of them given a severity: a scratch at the bottom right [work 06:34]; "a scratch right between the T and the M up the blue stripe" [work 07:43]; "this whitening chip up here" [work 08:08]. LIMITS ACCEPTED AND STATED [work 04:21, 09:32]: "That whitening is not going to get any better", "those whitening edges just don't want to be messed with", and "Chipping, I just can't touch that." Nothing was filled and no pigment was added to this card at any point. CardDoc cleaner and polish then applied to both faces [work 10:12, press 00:02, 03:02], described as "more like a polisher". He flags his own timing: the polish may have gone on "a little too early" because the card had not fully dried [press 00:21]. INTO THE PRESS [press 05:08 to 08:01]: compressed face down between two sheets of parchment paper, clamped over the corner "cuz that's where we're having the biggest problems" [press 07:41]. First time using parchment for this. Stated plan was three or four days [press 01:49], one more clean on the way out, and the card returned to its owner with a full report [press 08:39]. No zone was graded and no severity was assigned in this recording.

Out of the press on 2026-08-19, thirteen days in rather than the three or four planned on 08-06. Photographed front, back and in macro: eleven stills, all taken between 26 and 96 seconds into the 2:04 clip, which is how the stills and the video are known to be one sitting. THE CARD WAS NOT ASSESSED ON CAMERA. This recording carries no narration at all - a television is playing and no zone, defect type or severity is spoken anywhere on the track. Two transcription passes agree, the second asked only whether any close-microphone speaker exists and answering no. So no post-press zone grade is claimed for any of the twenty-four zones, and the silence convention does not apply: an unremarked zone reads as a 10 during a WALK, and there was no walk. IDENTITY VERIFIED FROM THE CARD at this sitting: Sabrina's Gengar, Japanese, Stage 2, HP 90, LV.42, No. 094, illustrated by Ken Sugimori, evolving from Sabrina's Haunter, attacks Yami no Hadou 20 and Kage Shibari 40, Gym-series set symbol, Japanese back reading 1996 Nintendo / Creatures / GAME FREAK. NON-HOLO: the art window throws no holo flash at any tilt angle while the yellow border does, settling this as the Yamabuki City Gym deck printing rather than the Challenge from the Darkness holo. That confirms by photograph the correction made on 2026-08-03 without one, and clears the run-up sheet's standing warning that no photo of this card existed. The overall grade of 8.2 on this case was assigned by Lucas directly on 2026-08-27. It is his figure, recorded as given; it is not derived from these recordings, which contain no numbers.

CASE CLOSED. Lucas reviewed the finished card on 2026-08-27, assigned an overall grade of 8.2, and called the work complete. THIS SESSION WAS NOT FILMED and is not a zone walk. It is the closing decision itself, recorded on the date it was made and sourced to Lucas, because until it existed the chain ended at `postpress` and every reader of that chain correctly reported the card as still on the bench: out of the press means inspected, not done. The distinction is deliberate and is not being blurred here. What changed is that the decision was taken. One thing planned on camera on 2026-08-06 is NOT recorded as having happened: at [press 08:39] the stated intent was "one more cleaning" on the way out of the press. No recording or note of that final clean was found, so the work list does not claim it.
