A 24-point inspection of a fresh pack-pulled card, filmed end to end, with the brief stated up front. [00:38] "I was called in to basically give it a once-over and look at it and try to find any reason why this will not get a 10." [01:48] out of the sleeve and in the hand: "I feel a balance in the card ... it doesn't feel heavier. It feels more crisp, like a fresh-pack card." [02:12] "my first impression is we're not going to find a lot of problems here." EDGES AND CORNERS, front: top-left corner [02:46] "It's a 10 all the way"; top edge [03:04] a 10, with "some little, tiny fibers coming off the top, but that is normal"; top-right corner [03:44] a 10; right edge [04:51] a 10; right corner [04:57] "it's going to come back as a 10 too". [05:51] a flattening noted near the bottom-right, "but I'm still going to give it a 10 because it's just something that I noticed and possibly part of the card's cut, and something we can't fix." [06:36] summed up: "I'm going to give the edges all a 10 and all the corners a 10, with slight notation to the bottom right." [04:17] centering read by eye as "almost perfectly centered", with calipers named as a future addition and NOT used here, so no centering figure is recorded. THE CLIENT'S OWN QUESTION, answered on camera [06:47]: "client did mention to me that there was something on a corner here that didn't look clean. But if you can look at that, that's almost absolutely perfect." FRONT QUADRANTS: top-left [09:26] a 10. Top-right [10:38] "nothing to remark about here. Perfect card" - no number was spoken for that quadrant, so none is recorded. Bottom-right [12:31] a 9.9 "only because of that minor defect". Bottom-left [14:30] a 9.9 "with only one defect approximately 3/4 of an inch from the left and 3/4 of an inch from the bottom". WHY THE 9.9s ARE NOT MORE THAN THAT [11:12]: "this is going to pass grading because it still holds the holo ... What you're looking for is if it's missing." The indentations still reflect, which is the test. [11:34] "This card is going to definitely be identifiable ... you could definitely pinpoint that like a fingerprint." MANUFACTURING, NOT DAMAGE [13:25]: a mark under the artwork checked and cleared - "it does reflect back, so it gives us a sign that it's not damaged, but just the card effect ... this is just going to be factory-made." Same call on the back at [15:54]: "little pattern lines ... nothing to note ... this could just be the print run when it's running through the machine." BACK: top-left corner [15:23] a 10. Top-left quadrant [17:10] a 10. Top-right quadrant [17:27] a 10. Both bottom quadrants [18:06] a 10. [18:00] "I don't see any spots that need to be cleaned. I wouldn't dare touch the front of this card because after I've seen what I've seen, I don't want to be a cause of any type of damage."

A deliberately minimal cleaning. Nothing was worked, pressed or altered; the front was not touched at all by explicit decision at [18:00]. THE ONE INTERVENTION [16:48]: a spot on the BACK checked with a utensil - "Oh, look! Came right off! ... what I thought it was was a little piece of dirt on there, and it came right off." [17:10] noted as "debris ... which could have been wiped away with a finger", and the top-right quadrant on the back was regraded a 10 afterwards. [18:22] a final swab pass to confirm the surface rather than to change it: "just kind of feel to make sure that I have a very smooth surface. And that is very smooth. It's the way a clean card should feel." NO SOLUTION, NO ROLLING, NO PRESS. Nothing here alters the card, which matters for this one specifically: it arrived pack-fresh and the whole point of the session was to avoid becoming the reason it stops being that. [18:51] closing call, and note that no overall number is given: "this card has now come through our inspection and a minor cleaning, but I don't see any reason why this card will not score high and do well."
